Nokia IT delivers much of its global Enterprise Computing services on private infrastructure operated by 3rd party suppliers housIT Solution Designer or Owner 3 JG 9ed in large commercial colocation sites. The total landscape includes 000s of billable managed resources across dozens of locations, linked to a large portfolio of supported applications and covered by multiple complex pricing regimes. In order to effectively manage the cost and optimal utilization of locations and infrastructure it is essential to capture and maintain comprehensive, accurate data about the full estate. As important is the capability to quickly and easily query, report, and visualize that data to provide business insights. We are seeking an experienced configuration management designer to engineer and deploy a solution with which this key data can be populated and managed.
Requirements/skills
Experience with ITIL-based service and infrastructure configuration management\Service catalog
CMDB representation of managed infra
CI attribution of equipment make, config, lifecycle state
Relationships between locations, apps, service, ops status/criticality
Processes for building, maintaining, and validating CMDB quality
Knowledge of CFGM solutions market - tools/solutions for data management and discovery
Experience in CFGM/CMDB deployment and operation in a large enterprise setting
Experience with IT outsourcing contracts and supplier governance
Knowledge of Enterprise Computing/Data Center private infrastructure concepts
Physical and virtual OS/server hosting, Enterprise storage, databases/middleware
Familiarity with ITIL-based capacity management
Familiarity with commercial DC colocation: pricing, space planning
Familiarity with public/private cloud computing
Responsibilities
Lead the design and deployment of a DC data management solution including
CMDB data for all IT-managed DC infra CIs (servers, storage, DB)
Infra utilization data
Related facility data for DC housing incl power and space consumption
Commercial terms and pricing for all related 3rd party support services
Full relationships between apps/services, locations, infra CIs, commercials
Sufficient performance to support realtime query and visualization
Connection to/integration with Cloud orchestration
Determine best solution platform(s) (SaaS, Cloud IaaS, private infra)
Select tools/services to utilize/integrate into solution
Plan and manage design, build and deployment to production
Manage and deploy subsequent enhancements
