The team is seeking a Leader for the ION SBU Packet Core professional services team in Portugal. The candidate will focus on;
Managing the Delivery of Packet Core professional services ranging from design, deployment and testing.
The advancement, and application of tools, best practices, and standardizing Packet Core solutions through blueprinting.
Professional development of the candidates supporting team, and day to day resource management.
Working globally with peers and across various Nokia organizations to solve issues, deliver projects and advance initiatives in the areas of Cloud Packet Core Blueprint, deployment and test automation, and other areas focused on improving deliver quality and efficiency.
The candidate will focus on services delivery to Nokia’s Packet Core customer base globally, with an emphasis on the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
The candidate will manage a team of approximately 25 highly qualified personnel based in Portugal and other European cities.
The leader will be involved directly in customer engagements for major customers and making sure the various delivery organizations needed to execute on these engagements are properly sized and scheduled.
The leader needs to be dynamic, creative and decisive. Needs to be leading his/her team but also influencing other delivery teams responsible in delivering on the packet Core programs.
Key responsibilities include:
Insure delivery organizations are properly aligned to deliver on Packet Core engagements.
Meet and interface with major customers to make sure customer special needs are met.
Manage customer escalations during the executions of these transformation projects.
Make sure his/her team is following up/managing customer change requests and driving customer sign-offs.
Make sure his/her team is receiving feedback from the different delivery teams, to be able to provide guidance and reporting on the Packet Core engagements.
Make decisions on investments in tools and automation to facilitate and further enhance Packet Core project execution.
Ensure projects are delivered within budget.
Build relationships with sales, R&D and other delivery organizations inside Nokia.
Insure response to customer RFP’s are properly and competitively sized, helping Nokia ION sales team closing on such deals. Deciding on a delivery model that is balanced between cost and customer demands.
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent experience.
MBA or equivalent experience preferred
The ideal candidate should have work experience with some or all of the following (minimum 5+ years relevant work experience):
Prior team leadership, including direct and direct reports.
Worked with customer segments in the Packet Core and IP areas for design, upgrade and migration projects.
Knowledge with customer network configuration, migration workflows and execution
Worked on deployment and test tools, including defining requirements for new tools that will improve migration executions – Examples is a plus.
Deep experience in Routing, and Packet Core.
Basic knowledge of OSS systems and scripting tools.
People management skills and resource allocation.
Working, influencing and coordinating between multiple groups to run large complex programs.
Working with multiple remote delivery centers.
Process definition, monitoring and improvements techniques.
Customer interfacing and management experience, CxO level
KPI identification and reporting
Presentation and communication skills
LANGUAGE: English is a must, other languages a plus.
